The Older Page Of LAN
(Why you should try it!)
I was visiting my friend Dax up at FSU, and we went
wild and got network cards, and an 8 player HUB (for future kill-fests
with MORE prey!).
We played Quake without problems, and tried the deathmatch
level add-on called Painkeep. It has loads of new stuff, and was pretty
fun.
We played Duke3d, and it was VERY easy to link up
and play.
We tried Heretic, and that was alot of fun.
We also tried Jedi Knight (Dark Forces 2). Check
out the link below for some screen shots. (Mostly 3d card)
Hexen II has lots of cool weapons and the characters
are great, but beware!
Hexen II and Jedi look like crap if you don't have
a 3d card, and I mean one of the newer ones! My system is a P166/32ram/diamond
2mb video, and Hexen II in always run mode crawled along. It looked ok
until I saw the 3d version...

Screen Shots!
I have since gotten a 3d card! We have played TONS
of different games now, from the newest to the oldest with equal success!
If you are an avid gamer and you and your friends
can get some $$ together to get a couple of 3Com 10/100 PCI cards and a
4-8 port hub, it will be well worth the money! You will never have to suffer
with internet lag again!!
